CrossFit Longmont HERO WOD Tribute to Eric Tally and all those that lost their lives March 22nd, 2021. We are #BoulderStrong

Eric Talley was a Boulder Police Officer who gave his life during the King Sooper’s shooting on March 22nd, 2021 in Boulder, CO.  He was the last of 10 people to be killed at King Sooper’s, meaning that once he entered the store and confronted the suspect, no other civilians were hurt, a true hero.  He had been with the department for 11 years and was 51 years old when he was killed.  He left behind a wife and 7 children.  Eric was on the wellness team at the PD and always cheered and encouraged people through the obstacle course for new recruits.  Eric loved his family deeply and always had a father’s day BBQ at the PD for everyone working that day.  Eric was one of the most selfless people and no matter what had a smile on his face and said “hey buddy” any time you saw him.  He was an absolute gem.
